A registered sex offender was charged with trespassing for going into a dorm area at Camp Shalva where young boys were sleeping, police said.

Yoel Oberlander, 31, of Monsey, a Level 2 sex offender, is a kosher milk truck driver. He apparently delivered milk to the camp in the Town of Thompson and then was seen in the male dormitory where he wasn’t authorized to be. He was arrested on Thursday after being informed of the charges, state police say.

Oberlander was arraigned in Fallsburg Town Court and sent to the Sullivan County Jail, where he was being held in lieu of $5,500 bail. He was also served with an order of protection to stay away from Camp Shalva.
Oberlander was convicted in Nov. 27, 2002, in Ramapo of sexual abuse with a person less than 14 years old, a misdemeanor.

The New York state Sex Offender Registry says his victim was an 11-year-old girl.
