DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN - Members of the Orthodox Jewish community attended a rally outside the District Attorney's Office today in support of a whistleblower who's now facing charges.
Sam Kellner reported his son's allegeations of sexual abuse by another Orthodox man, Boruch Lebovitz, in 2010. Kellner has now been charged for allegedly blackmailing a witness to get him to testify against Lebovitz.
The protesters say the witness involved is unstable and they want all charges against Kellner dropped.
Lebovitz was initially found guilty and served jail time, but his conviction was overturned and he was released.
